What are your terms and conditions should I need to cancel my room booking?
If you wish to cancel your reservation with us, please let us know via email: enquiries@redlionalnmouth.com or call us on 01665 830584.
For changes to your reservation, we will always do our upmost best to accommodate you, subject to availability.
We ask that you cancel 4 weeks prior to your arrival date; regrettably we would not be able to refund your deposit unless we receive another booking in place for the dates you cancel.
You will be charged the full balance if we are not able to relet the room at short notice and you cancel with less than 4 weeks until your stay.
We strongly advise all guests ensure take out travel insurance in case you need to cancel your reservation last minute due to circumstances beyond your control.
If you have booked via a third-party website such as booking.com you are subject to their cancellation policy and you will need to contact them directly. We have very little control for amending bookings and cancelling if you have booked via a third party.
What are your check in and check out times?
Check in is from 15:00.
Please let us know in advance via email enquiries@redlionalnmouth.com if you will be checking in after 9pm in order to plan accordingly.
Check out is at 10:00.
All rooms must be vacated promptly by 10:00 as we are a small team who do everything and need to allow enough time to turn over our rooms before we open our doors to customers at 12:00.
Which days do you serve food?
Winter Food Service Hours (from 17th October 2025)
Brunch Menu: 09:00-14:00 Friday | Saturday | Sunday | Monday
Wood Fired Pizza Menu: 17:00-20:00 every Friday & Saturday
Evening Menu: regrettably, we are not offering our evening menu this winter due to rising costs and staffing – this has not been an easy decision but unfortunately one we’ve had to make.
We can highly recommend The Whittling House, Bistro 23 or The Hope & Anchor for an evening meal – you won’t be stuck for choice if you are staying with us!
Tuesday & Wednesday
Our bar will be closed on a Tuesday & Wednesday for drinks from 1st November 2025 until 1st April 2026. Please note, our bed & breakfast will be open as normal.

Are you able to accommodate dietary requirements?
Winter Months from 17th October 2025
We will do our upmost best to accommodate any dietary requirements for our brunch menu; please inform a member of our Red Lion team.
Summer Months from April to October
(Wood Fired Pizza menu served only for Lunch & Evening service)
Important Note: We regret to inform our customers that we cannot accommodate gluten-free options due to limited space in our pizza prep area, which makes it difficult to prevent cross-contamination. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Are you dog friendly?
Well behaved dogs are very welcome in our bar and beer garden; however, we do not allow pets in our accommodation or restaurant.
We kindly ask that all furry friends are always kept on a lead and on the floor rather than our furniture so everyone can have a good time!
Are you open all year round?
Winter
We will be closed on a Tuesday & Wednesday from 4th November 2025 until 1st April 2026.
Our bed & breakfast service will run as normal and be open on these days.
We will contact our guests prior to their visit if you are due to check in either of these days – someone from our team will be available to greet you and check you into your room.
Please note, we close in January for approximately 3 weeks from 5th January for annual refurbishments and to give our team a well-deserved break after a busy year.

Yes! We are open 7 days a week.
Do you have parking?
Parking is on street throughout Alnmouth. If you are a guest staying with us, please note, Alnmouth can be extremely busy in the summer months, therefore, you may find you have to loop round the village a few times before finding a space.
