Eating at The Red Lion Inn is an opportunity to experience the very best of Northumberland on a plate.

Enjoy a freshly cooked meal at The Red Lion 7 days a week, either in our atmospheric restaurant or relaxed bar area. Alternatively on warmer days, opt to eat alfresco in our sheltered beer garden with unique viewing platform, taking advantage of the spectacular views over the Alnmouth estuary while you relax and unwind.

Fresh seasonal produce

Our team of talented chefs specialise in using fresh, seasonal ingredients, sourced wherever possible from the region’s best producers. Fresh fish and shellfish include local specialities such as Craster kippers and Swallowfish smoked salmon.

We serve food 7 days a week

The Red Lion Inn kitchen is open for business seven days a week.

Monday to Saturday we serve our lunch menu 12pm to 3pm and our evening menu from 5pm to 9pm.  

On Sundays we serve our Sunday lunch menu from 12pm to 8pm.

Our chefs are very accommodating of any dietary needs, please feel free to speak to your waiter or at the bar if there is anything you are concerned about.
