Originally an 18th century coaching inn, The Red Lion is situated directly opposite the ancient church in the heart of  Alnmouth, a village steeped in fascinating local history.

While visiting The Red Lion, we hope that you will find the time to take in the local attractions.  The nearby market town of Alnwick boasts some of the region's most impressive tourist destinations, including the renowned Alnwick Garden & Castle, complete with Europe's largest treehouse and home to the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland.

All of our accommodation is non-smoking and offers guests a fresh, healthy environment in which to enjoy their stay.

The Red Lion provides a perfect base for all types of activites that can be undertaken all year round, such as cycling, walking, fishing, golfing or even a little surfing!
